Citi University Partnerships in Innovation and Discovery (CUPID)

Citi Ventures' CUPID program embeds students in innovation activities across Citi, where they partner with internal Citi teams on key initiatives to gain exposure to various aspects of Citi's businesses while helping to create cutting-edge new solutions. CUPID projects enable students to engage with the firm on solving complex, real-world challenges.

Students from Community Colleges and Universities have co-created strategic products and services for people, businesses, and communities in partnership with Citi leadership.

Get selected based on your skills - pass 3 quizzes and write 2 essays / presentations and automatically enter the recruiting pipeline based on your ability. You do not need to submit a separate application, be a business major, or have prior experience.

CUPID is a 6-week industry program where students get to work on a real Citi Business Challenge under the supervision of Citi leadership in New York and San Francisco. Students work in small teams and provide regular presentations to their Citi project manager. The program culminates in a final presentation to Citi leadership and statewide education leaders in workforce development.

Students have demonstrated amazing creativity and unique abilities in art, design, engineering, and finance.

“Personally, the CUPID Program had always amazed me in the sense that students could partake in internal Citi projects not only to give input with the goal of improving current models, but to receive mentorship from talented professionals.

Thus, when I heard that the program had opened its doors to the Community College system I was eager to participate. Throughout my journey at Citi, I have received nothing but guidance, mentorship and knowledge that has allowed me to not only grow professionally, but personally. Although we worked with diverse teams from all across the country such as New York and San Francisco, we shared the common passion of finance and strategic developement! ”
